A musical friendship starts with a ‘click’.
This is how all leading ensembles, which now belong to the world top, once started. This is also the case with the Redon Piano Quartet: a new ensemble of four young musicians, who are certainly no strangers to classical music lovers.
Violinist Pieter van Loenen, violist Dana Zemtsov, cellist Laura van der Heijden and pianist Alexander Ullman have all won prizes at prestigious competitions and are also very active as soloists. Now they find each other in this formation and play chamber music with infectious dedication and enthusiasm.
The Redon Piano Quartet has only just come into being, but has already filled an entire broadcast of the Evening Concert on NPO Radio 4. At the invitation of the BBC, the foursome will soon be making its UK debut.
