New album RØTA by Ragnhild Hemsing

We are pleased to present the new album RØTA by @ragnhild.hemsing which was released on February 5th. With RØTA, her debut album on Berlin Classics in co-production with @wdr Ragnhild Hemsing presents her Norwegian roots on the violin and Hardanger violin, discussing her identity and the connection to her musical upbringing. Focus in the contrast between the different sounds of both instruments and the relationship between classical and Norwegian folk music. In addition to works by well-known Norwegian composers, Ragnhild Hemsing has recorded four different folk melodies for Hardanger violin from her home country for Røta.
